Prohibition of dogs on beaches
Dogs are prohibited from the four main beaches (Margate, Walpole
Bay –Cliftonville, Broadstairs and Ramsgate), for 24 hours a day
during the summer months (May-Sept) under the Clean
Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. Other
beaches and promenades also have restrictions between 10am-6pm.
Dogs and their owners Are
welcome on the following beaches and promenades anytime
during the year:
Birchington
Broadstairs
- Dumpton Gap
- Kingsgate Bay
Cliftonville
- Foreness Point
- Palm Bay
- Sacketts Gap
Margate
Ramsgate
- Eastcliff
- Western Undercliff
