Priority 3 - Criminal damage

Aim
To reduce reported incidents of
criminal damage, target damage created within the night time
economy and eradicate graffiti.

Delivery of these objectives
Reduce reported incidents of criminal damage
As directed by the tactical group
through assessment delivered by Kent Police, operations and
projects will be planned by the Community Safety Unit.
Damage in the night-time economy
Licensing teams from both the council and police will work
together with the partnership to conduct visits and review
incidents relating to late night premises, pubs and clubs.
Eradicate graffiti
The Community Safety Unit will look to dedicate resources to
tackling offenders through a mixture of enforcement and
diversionary activity.

The strategic assessment coupled with consultation events with
partner agencies and residents have drawn together five key
priorities for the Thanet District for 2009/10.
