Community Safety Open Forums
You are invited to the next Community Safety Open
Forum
6th March 2012
Broadstairs Christ Church University Campus.
6.30pm
Our Thanet -wide Community Safety Open Forum where you can:
- Speak to Kent Police and the Community Safety Enforcement from
Thanet District Council
- Find out the latest crime statistics for Thanet
- Tell us your concerns or suggestions for your local area
- Get involved in new projects to improve the level of safety
where you live
Open forum meetings are different to the Neighbourhood/
P.A.C.T Panel Meetings.
The Open Forums are attended by senior police and council
officers to hear people’s views on the community safety issues that
matter to them. They are held quarterly in a different area of
Thanet each time and are open to anyone who lives anywhere in
Thanet to come along and discuss issues from anywhere in the
district.
They are more strategic than the PACT meetings and help to set
partnership priorities and update crime data for the whole of
Thanet.
Questions and Answers
As part of the previously held forums, members of the public had
an opportunity to put questions directly to the Chief Inspector of
Kent Police and the council's Community Safety and Enforcement
Manager.
Next steps
As a result of the feedback we received, more forums are being
planned for the future. Details of future forums will be
available here and will be promoted through the local
media.
